Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Samaritan Solar collects, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

You give us: name, property address, email address, phone number, average electric bill, uploaded utility bills, and anything you type into a form or message.

Collected automatically: IP address, browser/user-agent, pages viewed and a visitor id cookie, plus the date, time and IP recorded when you grant contact consent.

From third parties and public records: building-permit history, property characteristics and ownership from public records, satellite and street-level roof imagery, utility rate data, and contact-verification results used to confirm a phone number is reachable.

2. How we use it

To build and deliver your solar proposal, to contact you about it, to verify property and contact details, to schedule site surveys and installation, to keep records of consent as the law requires, and to improve our estimating models.

3. Calls, texts and emails (TCPA)

We only place automated calls or send marketing texts to a number when we have your prior express written consent, and we check every number against our internal Do-Not-Contact suppression list before any automated send. Reply STOP to any text to opt out — that number is added to our suppression list immediately. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies.

4. We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to lead brokers. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — imagery and property-data providers, email and SMS delivery, e-signature, payment processing, financing partners you ask us to apply with, and installers assigned to your project — each bound to use it only for that purpose.

5. Retention

We keep lead and consent records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal record-keeping obligations, then delete or anonymize them.

6. Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, by writing to the address above or emailing privacy@samaritansolar.com. Residents of states with privacy statutes (including California) may exercise the rights those laws provide; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

7. Security

Access to homeowner records is role-restricted and API credentials are never exposed in the application. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive documents you don’t want stored.

8. Children

The Services are not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
